Exciting Times!

Hello I have not written a blog for a very long time! I am hoping to get better at this in the New Year. I have been so busy in the run up to Christmas with sales and an exam at college. I am hoping that I can spread things out better this year and get blogging more! I have also been thinking a lot about how I want to move my little business forward and I have started with my plans so keep posted to find out what I have in mind!
Today has been very exciting for me! I had a whole day to create with my new glass making kit. For Christmas I received a microwave kiln and today I have been creating some beautiful pendants which I am hoping to sell soon on my website www.beadsamour.co.uk

Before Christmas I was given the honour of having some of my pieces displayed in the Barn Gallery in Southwell. I was absolutely delighted that Pete (the owner) took some of my pieces! Finger crossed they sell! If you would like to see them please visit The Barn gallery, 79 Kings Street, Southwell, Nottinghamshire.

I will now be working on updating my website and listing some of the new beautiful pendants I have been making.

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and have a very Happy New Year!!

A busy few weeks!

Well it’s been a busy few weeks and I have not had time to let you know what’s been happening so here we go!!
I have been busy creating a few new pieces and waiting for supplies to arrive!!

I have had a lot of requests for bookmarks for Christmas! They make great presents and I think people are starting their Christmas shopping early this year! Watch this space for more exciting designs.

A friend asked me to design her a necklace so I have been busy with that too. She asked for a necklace that could be worn at different lengths! I used a black agate stone with a simple pattern on and strung this on some sliver chain and put in jump rings at different spaces so she can wear it at different lengths!

I have a few events coming up to. I will let you know about these soon!!

I have been tweaking my website too so watch this space for news on that!

Please feel free to follow me and keep up to date on

The perfect necklace

This week I have been busy making a piece of bespoke jewellery for a friend who is going to a wedding this weekend.

My friend had a beautiful dress and no jewellery to match! She came to me to see if I had anything that would go. We had a look through the many pieces I already had made and we just could not decide so I offered to make her a bespoke piece! I choose a selection of beads that I thought would go and my friend decided which she liked. I then created a beautiful necklace using some chunky purple and green beads strung on silver beading chain. The necklace now beautifully matches her outfit.

Welcome to Beadsamour!

Welcome to my first Beadsamour blog!!

I thought I would tell you a bit about me!! My name is Rea and I love to create with beads!! I started doing a couple of jewellery making classes at my local craft shop about 6 years ago and my love grew from there!! I have mostly self-taught myself from books and magazines. I love to spend a few hours creating beautiful pieces of handmade jewellery. I started selling my jewellery to friends and colleagues at work this grew and I started selling at local craft fairs. More and more people would ask if I had a website and so I set up my own website! www.beadsamour.co.uk
Life has been very busy this year with planning my wedding and everything to do with that so I have not had much time to devote to my jewellery making but hope to focus more now things have calmed down!!

I hope you enjoy my blog and please pop across to www.beadsamour.co.uk to have a look!!

Goodbye until next time!!!
